Ava Fixel- Camp Director

Ava Fixel is driven by her passion for theatre and the performing arts. She is the former theatre director at BTHS and ITS (International Thespian Society) sponsor.   Mrs. Fixel received her bachelor’s degree from Oswego State and her master’s from Stony Brook University in New York. She placed 1st in the Funniest Person in America Contest and appeared on PBS for five years as host, writer and actor on The Success Express. It is her pleasure every day to be able to be a part of developing the talents and high aspirations of her students. Mrs. Fixel is a past District 2 ITS (International Thespian Society) Chair and presently the District 2 ITS(International Thespian Society)Treasurer.

Mrs. Fixel is now a freelance Director working on projects throughout Jacksonville and in NYC. Over the years Mrs. Fixel has directed numerous plays, musicals, and one-acts. Although she has loved all her productions, her favorites are Jekyll and Hyde, The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Our Town, Dracula, Mary Poppins, and West Side Story.  Her one acts plays presented at district competition have received superior scores and some have been chosen to be performed at the FL Thespian State Festival.

Leia Fixel- Asst Camp Director/Theatre Instructor

Leia Fixel holds a Master’s degree in English Education from the University of Florida.  She has been the Theatre Director at Creekside High School for the last six years and has served as the Assistant Director of BeaTPAC for the last twelve summers. She feels honored to have directed so many incredible pieces in her time at CHS.  These pieces include: The OutsidersBye, Bye BirdieThe Curious Savage Back to the 80’s: The Totally Awesome Musical, Pride & Prejudice, Thoroughly Modern Mille, Dear Brutus, Once Upon A Mattress, Aida, and HamletShe considers herself privileged to have the opportunity to work with so many amazing students every day! 



Juliet Fixel- founder/director of curriculum/dance instructor/administrator

Juliet Fixel graduated from the University of Florida with a BFA in theatre performance and minor in dance. Juliet feels like the luckiest person on earth that she is able to live her dreams in New York and that there is still a place for her at BeaTPAC to work with such amazingly talented and dedicated students. Juliet has numerous credits in performing and creating. This past fall Juliet's production company, JFix Productions and Choreography, produced the off- broadway show Freefall Frostbite in which Juliet directed, choreographed and starred. Learn more at
